Our Marquee Event

In 2019 the 33 JordynStrong Foundation hosted the first Annual Black & White Gala at the Historic Onesto Hotel in Canton, OH. The inaugural event raised over $61,000 for the Foundation and as intended became the Marque Event for the Foundation. With a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, the Foundation was able to get to work to rebrand this key fundraising event to the Blackbird Ball, gaining its new moniker from the 1968 Beatles song “Blackbird”. The Beatles are notably one of Jordyn’s Top 3 favorite bands and “Blackbird” was listed in her “Fab Four” - if you are an XM subscriber and listen to the Beatles Channel, you know just what this means.

While the 2019 edition of the event was highly successful, the 33 JordynStrong Foundation determined that in order to keep up with a changing social environment during the pandemic, the event would need to transform as well. The search was on for the perfect venue that allowed for us to reinstate this critical fundraising event into our calendar as well as to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guest to gather together in-person. Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium proved to be the perfect location blending an outdoor Skytop Terrace with a wide open interior space that will allow guests to truly experience this one-of-a-kind venue and help us to celebrate all the Foundation has been able to accomplish over the last few years and to once again gather together to remember the too short life of Jordyn Myers.
